Truly one of the world’s greatest living artists, Patti Smith has been working across a plethora of creative mediums for over four decades now, influencing scores of musicians including PJ Harvey, Johnny Marr and Martha Wainwright. On Sunday, lucky Field Day punters will be given the opportunity to witness where it all began, with Smith performing her seminal debut, Horses, in full, in its 40th anniversary year. You’d be mad to miss it.

Better known as frontman with mid-00s quartet Late of the Pier, Sam Dust is now working solo under the pseudonym La Priest. Sonically, he’s moved up a gear, swapping odd-ball dance-punk for thrillingly spaced-out electro-funk, as showcased on his first two singles ‘Oino’ and ‘Party Zute/Learning To Love’. Go see him on Saturday, and get a sneak preview of his debut album, Inji, which is set to drop via Domino on 29th June.
